Aprilia Launches Tuono 457 Special Edition at Rs 3.99 Lakh

Mumbai, June 22, 2026 (Daily Kiran): Aprilia has launched the 2026 Special Edition of the Aprilia Tuono 457 Special Edition in India on the occasion of World Motorcycle Day. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom), making it just Rs 2,000 costlier than the standard model.

According to the company, the new Special Edition draws inspiration from the iconic Tuono 1000R launched in 2006. Bookings for the motorcycle have commenced at select Aprilia dealerships across the country.

Inspired Design with New Colour Options

The Tuono 457 Special Edition is available in two new colour schemes — Mamba Black and Puma Grey. To enhance styling and improve wind protection during highway rides, Aprilia has equipped the motorcycle with a new smoked flyscreen.

The company said the flyscreen is made from premium high-impact material and is designed to reduce rider fatigue during high-speed touring.

Focus on Rider Comfort

One of the key upgrades in the Special Edition is improved rider ergonomics. The motorcycle now features a taller handlebar, allowing a more upright riding posture. This is expected to reduce strain on the rider’s wrists, shoulders and back during daily commutes and long-distance rides.

The seat has also been upgraded with high-resilience foam for improved comfort and better shock absorption. In addition, the suspension setup has been softened to offer a smoother ride on rough and uneven roads, while still allowing riders to make adjustments according to their preferences.

Enhanced Safety and Features

To improve control and braking confidence, the motorcycle now comes with an adjustable brake lever, enabling riders to customise lever reach based on hand size.

Powering the bike is the same 457cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces 47.6 bhp of power and 43.5 Nm of torque.

The motorcycle also retains several premium features, including:

  • Full LED lighting
  • Full-colour TFT instrument cluster
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Advanced electronics package

Warranty and Accessories

Speaking at the launch, Diego Graffi said the Special Edition has been developed with a focus on everyday usability and rider comfort for Indian road conditions.

The company is offering a warranty of four years or 48,000 kilometres with the motorcycle. Buyers can also opt for accessories such as a quickshifter, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), USB charging socket and an electronic anti-theft system.
