Patna, July 1: Sudhakar Singh, a Member of Parliament from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has hailed the party’s 30th anniversary as a historic milestone. He emphasized that the RJD has consistently fought for issues that benefit the people.
Speaking to a news agency, Singh stated, “This is a historic moment for the party. For the past 30 years, the RJD has advanced on the principles of social justice and secularism in Bihar without compromising its ideology. Whether it’s a state-level issue or a national concern, the party has always fought for the people’s interests.”
Commenting on the police escorting Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai for a visit to Ram Lalla, Singh questioned, “If police need to intervene for someone visiting a temple, what kind of governance is that? No one was going to the Babri Masjid; they were simply visiting the Ram Temple.”
Ajay Rai had reported on social media that he was detained by police during his visit to Ayodhya on Tuesday.
Regarding the recent reduction in prices of commercial LPG cylinders by ₹174 to ₹183.50, Singh remarked, “The real question is whether to reduce rates or not. First, ensure availability. Currently, commercial cylinders are not even available in the market. Does it matter if you lower or raise the price?”
In response to RJD’s Executive President Tejashwi Yadav’s comments on inflation, Singh agreed, stating, “He made a valid point. The issues in this state are unemployment, migration, poverty, illiteracy, and corruption. The government has no response to these concerns.”
Recently, Tejashwi Yadav criticized the NDA government for rising inflation, stating that it has made it difficult for ordinary people to manage their households while those in power are preoccupied with corruption and looting.
