SP Spokesperson Dismisses Rajbhars Claims as Baseless

Lucknow, June 17: The spokesperson for the Samajwadi Party (SP), Fakhrul Hasan Chand, responded on Wednesday to statements made by Om Prakash Rajbhar, the leader of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) and a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government. Rajbhar had claimed that the Samajwadi Party would soon disband. Chand labeled Rajbhar’s assertions as entirely unfounded, stating that the SP does not take such statements seriously.

In an interview, Fakhrul Hasan Chand mentioned that the SP possesses information indicating that Om Prakash Rajbhar is operating under pressure. He claimed that Rajbhar’s son, Arun Rajbhar, had met with SP national president Akhilesh Yadav and requested the merger of SBSP with the Samajwadi Party during their discussion.

Chand revealed that during the conversation with the SP leader, Arun Rajbhar expressed that his father is under immense pressure from the BJP. Arun stated that messages from the BJP reach Om Prakash Rajbhar, compelling him to publicly voice certain opinions. He also mentioned that Rajbhar is required to post specific content on social media as dictated by the BJP. This constant pressure has left him anxious, and he is eager to meet with Akhilesh Yadav, but feels constrained by the BJP’s influence.

Furthermore, Arun Rajbhar appealed for the merger of SBSP with the Samajwadi Party, emphasizing the need to protect the interests of backward classes. Fakhrul Hasan Chand asserted that following this conversation, the Samajwadi Party no longer regards Om Prakash Rajbhar’s statements with seriousness. He accused Rajbhar of merely propagating messages from the BJP and promoting them through social media.

Chand concluded by stating that since Arun Rajbhar himself indicated that his father’s statements should not be taken seriously, the Samajwadi Party no longer attributes any significant importance to Rajbhar’s claims. Therefore, his assertion regarding the disbandment of the Samajwadi Party is purely political rhetoric and bears no relation to reality.
