SP Leader Responds to Om Prakash Rajbhars Claims Amid Political Tensions in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, June 19: Political rhetoric has intensified once again in Uttar Pradesh. Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar and several leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have made claims regarding a potential split within the Samajwadi Party (SP) and alleged connections with multiple MPs. In response, the SP has issued a sharp rebuttal.

SP leader Fakhrul Hasan Chand dismissed these claims as entirely baseless, suggesting that Rajbhar should focus on his own party’s status first. He stated that the SP does not take Rajbhar’s statements seriously.

Chand pointed out that Rajbhar has only six MLAs, including himself and others allegedly linked to a paper leak case. He claimed that the remaining four MLAs often display the SP flag. Rajbhar’s party is reportedly in a state of disarray, with his son advocating for the protection of backward politics and the merger of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party with the SP.

In a sarcastic tone, Chand remarked that Rajbhar is under pressure from the BJP, repeating what they instruct him to say publicly. Therefore, the SP does not regard any of his statements or claims as credible.

Meanwhile, Chand also addressed the legal notice sent by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Sudhakar Singh to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, demanding a complete account of donations. He emphasized the need for transparency in this matter, noting that SP national president Akhilesh Yadav was the first to raise this issue. However, he clarified that since the investigation is being conducted by a Special Investigation Team (SIT), the SP will refrain from making further comments for now.

Chand accused the BJP of acting out of political vengeance, claiming that they treat opposition leaders unfairly. He noted that while security for opposition leaders is being reduced, those aligned with the government receive special protection. Several major mafia figures associated with the government ideology are reportedly roaming freely.

He raised concerns about the reduction of security for former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her staff, stating that such actions are unacceptable in a democracy. He stressed the importance of mutual respect between the government and the opposition for the strength of democracy, criticizing the BJP for lacking faith in democratic values.

Chand also questioned the high-level meeting regarding the NEET examination and the strict directives issued to officials. He pointed out that the same ministers under whose tenure the NEET paper was leaked twice are now claiming to enforce strict measures. The government has failed to ensure transparency and security in the examination process, remaining limited to meetings and directives without accountability.

Additionally, discussions have emerged in Uttar Pradesh politics following the announcement by All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) national president Asaduddin Owaisi regarding joining any political alliance. In response, Chand stated that this would further strengthen the India alliance.
