New Delhi, August 30: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is intensifying its focus on young voters. The party has devised a strategy to enhance its engagement and direct communication with the youth across the country.
A significant meeting was held at the party headquarters under the leadership of National President Nitin Naveen, lasting nearly four hours. The discussion centered on expanding the party’s dialogue with young people and developing new methods to connect with them.
Attendees included Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, BJP General Secretary Smriti Irani, former Union Minister Anurag Thakur, along with several young MPs and MLAs.
During the meeting, senior leaders deliberated on ways to enhance direct communication with the youth, ensuring that the BJP’s outreach aligns with the issues and aspirations of the younger generation.
One of the key decisions made was to assign two to three senior leaders in each state the responsibility of connecting with youth and strengthening dialogue. These leaders are expected to engage with young people in a structured manner and highlight relevant issues.
The party also discussed strategies for more effectively utilizing social media platforms to reach out to the youth, emphasizing information about government initiatives, achievements, and opportunities available for young Indians.
According to the reviewed strategy, the BJP will place greater emphasis on showcasing its efforts and schemes for youth over the past 12 years. Programs like My India, the National Service Scheme (NSS), the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme, and Startup India are expected to play a prominent role in the party’s youth outreach campaign.
The meeting also touched upon events commemorating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life, where youth participation and engagement are anticipated to be significant components.
To advance the decisions and strategies discussed during Saturday’s meeting, another virtual meeting is likely to be organized in the first week of September.
The overarching aim is to establish a stronger and more direct relationship between the BJP and the youth, while also raising awareness about government initiatives, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities, volunteer programs, and other schemes designed for them.
This latest effort reflects the BJP’s organizational approach centered on youth, aiming to strengthen its engagement with young Indians both at the grassroots level and through digital channels.
