Strict Measures Implemented for NEET UG Re-Exam in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, June 19: Preparations are underway across the country for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2026 re-exam. In this context, the Police Commissioner of Bengaluru has issued a prohibitory order for the upcoming test. Temporary restrictions have been placed on cyber and photocopy centers on the exam day.

The Police Commissioner declared that the area within a 200-meter radius of all examination centers in Bengaluru will be designated as a prohibited zone during and after the NEET UG 2026 re-test, scheduled for June 21. All photocopy, cyber, and computer centers within this radius will remain closed on that day.

This decision aims to prevent any disturbances during the NEET UG exam and ensure it is conducted smoothly and peacefully.

In addition to Bengaluru, other states are also tightening administrative arrangements to ensure a transparent and secure NEET UG re-exam. The Jammu and Kashmir government, for instance, ordered the suspension of classes in 60 schools across the valley on Saturday.

These schools have been designated as examination centers for the NEET UG 2026 re-exam, and educational activities have been halted to allow officials to make necessary preparations. The affected schools are located in the districts of Anantnag, Baramulla, Budgam, Kupwara, Pulwama, and Srinagar.

Authorities have instructed all relevant institutions to strictly adhere to this order, warning that any violations will result in severe penalties. This directive was issued with the approval of the competent authority.
