New Delhi, February 26: BJP MP Sambit Patra held a press conference at the party headquarters in Delhi on Thursday, targeting the Congress party and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. He stated that while Gandhi claims to be a compromiser, it is essential to clarify who the real compromiser is.
Patra asserted that the true compromiser was none other than Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He suggested that instead of referring to him as ‘Chacha Nehru,’ we should call him ‘Chacha Compromised.’ He characterized the Gandhi family as a compromised family and the Congress party as a compromising political entity. According to him, mistakes made by them have led to the compromise of the nation.
The BJP MP raised concerns about why national security has been allowed to weaken. He also discussed regional dedication, claiming that ‘Chacha Compromised’ arbitrarily drew lines on the map of India, delineating territories for Pakistan and China. He accused Rahul Gandhi of preparing to undermine India.
Patra further explained that Nehru’s decisions regarding the map of India were made as if he were sketching with a pen, giving away parts to Pakistan and China. He referenced the stories of Tibet and Aksai Chin, stating that in 1954, the Panchsheel Agreement allowed Nehru to gift Tibet to China.
He emphasized that Nehru’s mistakes were not mere policy errors but were deliberate actions aimed at compromising the nation. He questioned why national security was made so fragile that sensitive documents were handed over to foreign entities. He noted that in 1951, Nehru was aware of China’s road construction in Aksai Chin but concealed this information until 1959, even labeling it a rumor in Parliament.
Patra pointed out that in the 1958 Nehru-Noon Agreement, West Bengal was completely sidelined, and Berubari was ceded to Pakistan despite a Supreme Court ruling. He criticized the constitutional amendment that facilitated this transfer. Furthermore, he mentioned that in 1962, Indian troops were sent to the border without military consultation, uniforms, or proper supplies, a decision led by Nehru’s relatives.
He concluded by stating that the repercussions of Nehru’s decisions are still being felt today, raising the question of whether Nehru was bribed by China and Pakistan, which led to the ceding of territory. He called on the Congress government for clarification on this matter.
