Ahmedabad, February 23: BJP leader Rohan Gupta has sharply criticized the Congress party, stating that their focus is solely on political gain rather than the reputation of India. He emphasized that Congress is more interested in maintaining a presence in the news for cheap popularity, but they are failing to garner public support. To stay in the headlines, they resort to drastic measures, even if it jeopardizes the country’s dignity and the hard work of 1.4 billion Indians. The damage to India’s international standing does not concern them.
Gupta asserted that Congress’s only aim is to shine politically, even if it means invoking the name of Mahatma Gandhi. He noted that during the AI Summit, Congress leaders continue to support the Youth Congress’s protests, but he believes that no matter how much backing they receive, one thing is clear: the public will never accept negative politics.
He recalled that protests during the Commonwealth Games occurred outside the stadiums, and condemned Congress’s actions as disgraceful. The more support they seek for this issue, the greater the public’s outrage will be. Gupta warned that Congress will not be forgiven for their actions.
Commenting on remarks made by Tamil Nadu’s Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin against PM Modi, Gupta stated that this is not the first time opposition leaders have spoken against Modi for political gain. Similar statements were made during the Bihar Assembly elections, but the public responded decisively. He stressed that personal attacks do not benefit anyone in politics; instead, they harm the opposition.
Supporting PM Modi’s statements regarding Congress, Gupta remarked that the party has been sidelined due to their electoral losses. Allegations of vote theft have proven false, as they continue to lose in every state. By tarnishing India’s reputation at the AI Summit to stay relevant, Congress has distanced itself from the public’s issues. They are making a failed attempt to run a political shop by attacking the nation’s identity.
