RJD Accuses BJP of Marginalizing Allies in Bihar Politics

Patna, April 14: The picture of the new government formation in Bihar is gradually becoming clearer. Several senior BJP leaders are expected to arrive in Bihar soon. Meanwhile, RJD legislator Bhai Virendra stated on Tuesday that the BJP has consistently sidelined its allies. He claimed that the BJP tends to absorb and eliminate its partners.

In a media interaction in Patna, when asked about the possibility of a BJP Chief Minister, he asserted that the BJP holds the majority, thus the decision rests with them. Regarding JDU National President Nitish Kumar’s resignation, he remarked that Kumar himself could provide a better explanation. The RJD leader emphasized that the public will ultimately decide the outcome. He reiterated that they had previously stated that the JDU would cease to exist as a party, and it now appears that this prediction is coming true.

The situation became apparent after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was elected to the Rajya Sabha, indicating his shift towards Delhi politics and his intention to resign from the Chief Minister’s position. Following this, he also resigned from the Legislative Council. Reports suggest that Kumar may resign from his Chief Minister role on Tuesday.

Additionally, it is being speculated that for the first time, a government led by the BJP is on the horizon in Bihar. However, the announcement of the Chief Minister’s name has yet to be made. Meanwhile, the BJP’s state office has been attractively decorated in anticipation. A meeting of the BJP legislative party is scheduled for the afternoon. Following this, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will submit his resignation to Governor Syed Ata Hasnain.

Subsequently, an NDA legislative party meeting will take place, where the name of the new Chief Minister will be announced. Although the BJP has not officially declared its candidate for the next Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary is being viewed as a leading contender.
