Patna, April 14: The announcement of Bihar’s new Chief Minister may come soon. Reports indicate a significant decision could be made on Tuesday. Minister Ramkripal Yadav has shared his thoughts on the matter. He mentioned that an important party meeting is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, where members of the legislative party will participate to outline the future strategy. Notably, Shivraj Singh Chouhan from the central leadership will also attend this meeting.
Yadav stated that following Nitish Kumar’s election to the Rajya Sabha, he may resign from the Chief Minister’s position today, leading to the selection of a new leader. However, he emphasized that Kumar’s contributions to Bihar’s development are immense and cannot be overlooked. He remarked that there was a time when Bihar was considered in darkness, but under Kumar’s leadership, the state has progressed significantly. This is why many still hold him in high regard.
He acknowledged that if Kumar steps down, it would indeed sadden the people, but ultimately, it is a personal decision that cannot be contested.
Yadav also addressed the Women’s Reservation Bill, stating that the government has begun working towards fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s promise, and the process will be completed soon. According to him, this is not just about reservation but represents a significant change that will usher in a new era for the country. He asserted that the government is continuously working to empower women, which will lead to substantial societal transformation.
Furthermore, Yadav criticized the opposition, particularly targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s visit to West Bengal. He acknowledged Gandhi as a prominent leader, but noted that Congress’s position in West Bengal has weakened significantly. The direct competition now lies between the Trinamool Congress and the BJP, making it challenging for Congress to maintain its foothold there.
He also took aim at Mamata Banerjee, suggesting that she is anxious and making emotional statements as she sees her political ground slipping away. Yadav accused her of spreading false rumors to mislead the public. He clarified that his party respects all languages, castes, and religions, believing in providing equal opportunities for everyone.
He concluded by stating that the central government is working under the policy of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Vishwas,” and the public has supported Prime Minister Modi based on this trust. The government is committed to the nation’s development without discrimination, and this effort will continue.
