PM Modis Deep Connection with Uttarakhand, Says Former CM Ramesh Pokhriyal

Dehradun, April 14: Ahead of the inauguration of the Delhi-Dehradun corridor, BJP leaders from Uttarakhand have shared their insights. Former Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank emphasized the profound connection Prime Minister Narendra Modi has with Uttarakhand. He stated that this bond is why every child in the state holds him in high regard and gratitude.

Speaking to reporters, Pokhriyal said, “You can see that Prime Minister Modi has Uttarakhand in his heart. He has not only spoken about it but has also proven it through his actions. Consequently, respect and gratitude for him are growing among the youth in every corner of Uttarakhand.”

He mentioned that on Tuesday, Modi will launch projects worth over ₹12,000 crores. This initiative is expected to significantly contribute to the development of Uttarakhand and wildlife conservation. It will also reduce the travel time between Delhi and Dehradun. “I believe that PM Modi is successfully integrating heritage and development. Under his guidance, the youth and Uttarakhand are progressing,” he added.

BJP MP Naresh Bansal described the project as highly ambitious, stating it will enhance Uttarakhand’s economy, tourism, development, and trade. “This is a miraculous greenfield expressway. Delhi is now much closer to Uttarakhand. This will lead to further development in the state, and we are all grateful to PM Modi for this,” he said.

Legislator Munna Singh Chauhan called it a significant achievement, marking a new milestone. He remarked, “This is a green corridor and is considered one of the longest green corridors in Asia. It will provide a tremendous boost to Dehradun’s economy. The travel time to the capital, which used to take 8–10 hours, will now be reduced to approximately 2 to 2.25 hours.”

Legislator Brijbhushan Gairola expressed gratitude towards PM Modi, saying, “Today is a joyous day for all the people of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. The inauguration of the expressway connecting Dehradun and Delhi is happening today. This will allow travel from Dehradun to Delhi in just two and a half hours. Whether it’s rail, road, or the Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Modi’s blessings have consistently supported Uttarakhand. Historic development work is taking place in the state today.”

BJP legislator Bishan Singh Chufal commented on the inauguration of the Delhi-Dehradun expressway, stating, “The journey from Dehradun to Delhi used to take 10 hours. Over the last 14 years, since PM Narendra Modi began his work, we have been able to reach Delhi in 5 hours. Now, with this expressway, we can reach Delhi in just 2.5 hours.”
