Remembering Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee: A Tribute by Chief Ministers on His Sacrifice Day

New Delhi, June 23: On the occasion of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee‘s Sacrifice Day, Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states, including Uttar Pradesh’s Yogi Adityanath, paid tribute to the founder of the Janata Sangh. Dr. Mukherjee is well-known for his slogan, “One nation, two laws, two leaders, and two symbols will not work.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared on the social media platform X, stating, “On the Sacrifice Day of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the proponent of ‘One nation, two laws, two leaders, and two symbols will not work,’ I pay my humble respects. His supreme sacrifice for India’s unity and integrity will forever ignite the flame of nationalism in the hearts of every citizen.”

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed on X, “I pay my humble tribute on the Sacrifice Day of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of the Janata Sangh, who dedicated his life to the nation with the proclamation, ‘One nation, two laws, two leaders, and two symbols will not work.’ His unwavering commitment to national integrity will always inspire us. The nation will remain indebted to you eternally.”

Haryana Chief Minister Naib Saini posted on X, “On the death anniversary of the great patriot, eminent scholar, and founder of the Janata Sangh, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, I offer my heartfelt respects. His unique contributions to the unity, integrity, and pride of the nation, along with his unwavering resolve that ‘One nation, two laws, two leaders, and two symbols will not work,’ continues to inspire us all.”

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma shared on X, “I pay my respects on the Sacrifice Day of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of the Janata Sangh, a prominent nationalist thinker, and a strong advocate for Akhand Bharat.
