New Delhi, June 6: Residents of the National Capital Region (NCR) can breathe a sigh of relief as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a favorable weather forecast. According to the latest predictions, the extreme heat is expected to ease over the next few days, with maximum temperatures hovering around 40 degrees Celsius, and a low likelihood of exceeding this mark.
However, the weather will not be completely stable. There is a possibility of thunderstorms, lightning, rain, and strong surface winds in certain areas. On June 6, the maximum temperature is projected to reach 36 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 25 degrees Celsius. Rain accompanied by thunder is also anticipated, although no formal weather warnings have been issued.
A slight improvement in weather conditions is expected on June 7, with maximum temperatures around 37 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 25 degrees Celsius. The sky may be partially cloudy. On June 8, a slight increase in temperature is likely, with maximums reaching 39 degrees Celsius and minimums remaining at 25 degrees Celsius. The weather is expected to be mainly clear on this day.
From June 9 to June 11, maximum temperatures are forecasted to stay around 40 degrees Celsius, with minimums of 26, 27, and 28 degrees Celsius respectively. The IMD has indicated that strong surface winds may occur during the daytime on these three days. Although no formal warnings have been issued for the upcoming days, signs of continuous weather changes have been noted.
Experts suggest that pre-monsoon activities could lead to local thunderstorms, dust storms, and light to moderate rain without prior warning. Residents are advised to avoid open areas, weak structures, and standing under trees. For now, people in NCR can expect some relief from the heat and extreme temperatures.
With temperatures remaining controlled over the next few days, fluctuations in weather will help mitigate the impact of the heat.
