
New Delhi, April 28: Good news for youth aspiring to work at the Reserve Bank of India. The Reserve Bank of India Services Board (RBISB) has released a short notification for the Officer Grade B Recruitment 2026. A total of 60 positions will be filled, and the application process will commence on April 29, 2026.
According to the notification, this recruitment includes three different streams: the Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR) and the Department of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM). The general stream has the highest number of positions, with 40 available, while DEPR and DSIM each have 10 positions.
A detailed notification from the RBI will be released on April 29, the same day the online application process begins. Candidates can apply by visiting the official RBI website. The last date for submitting applications is set for May 20 at 6 PM.
In terms of eligibility, candidates with a graduation or post-graduation degree in any subject can apply for the general stream. For the DEPR stream, a post-graduation in Economics or Econometrics is required, while a post-graduation in Statistics or Mathematics is mandatory for the DSIM stream.
Additionally, age limits and other eligibility criteria as per RBI regulations will apply, with complete details provided in the detailed notification.
Regarding the application fee, candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories will need to pay ₹600, which includes both application and information fees. For SC, ST, and differently-abled candidates, the fee is only ₹100. RBI staff can apply free of charge.
The selection process will be conducted in three phases. The first phase will consist of a preliminary examination, followed by the mains examination and then an interview. Final selection will be based on performance across all three phases.
The application process will be entirely online. Candidates must register on the official RBI website, fill out the application form, upload documents, and pay the fee. After submitting the application, it is essential to take a printout of the application form.
