Varanasi, April 29: Today marks the second day of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Varanasi. This event is deeply rooted in religious faith and public engagement. According to the schedule, the Prime Minister will depart from the Bareka Guest House and head to the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, where he will perform formal worship and darshan.
There is a palpable excitement in Varanasi regarding the Prime Minister’s visit. The route from the Bareka Guest House to the temple has been beautifully decorated. Colorful decorations, posters, and welcome arches have been set up at various locations. Extensive security measures are in place to ensure that the event proceeds peacefully and smoothly.
Five special welcome points have been established along the route to greet the Prime Minister. Local residents, party workers, and members of various social organizations will welcome him with drums and traditional music. Additionally, arrangements for a flower shower have been made. This entire event is being organized as a “mini roadshow,” with a large turnout expected.
A grand welcome is also planned at the main entrance of the temple. Devotees will honor the Prime Minister with the sound of conch shells. During the special worship ceremony at Kashi Vishwanath Dham, temple administration and priests will be present. This visit holds significant religious importance, as Varanasi is also the Prime Minister’s parliamentary constituency.
Local residents are particularly enthusiastic about the visit. One resident expressed, “We have been waiting a long time to see the Prime Minister, and we are very excited about his arrival. He is continuously working for the development of the country, which people appreciate.”
Anchal Sharma shared with a news agency, “We have come to see PM Modi. We have been waiting for a long time to see him. PM Modi is promoting women so much, which is why we are here to see him. Our entire team is ready with flower garlands for the welcome.”
