Mumbai, April 29: The incident of a knife attack on two security guards in Mumbai’s Mira Road area, allegedly linked to inquiries about their religion, has sparked outrage among the saints of Ayodhya. Mahant Raju Das of the Hanumangarhi Temple in Ayodhya described the Mumbai incident as ‘Pahalgam-2,’ referencing a similar attack that occurred previously.
Speaking to a news agency, Mahant Raju Das stated, “The Mumbai incident mirrors the Pahalgam attack. Just as there was gunfire in Pahalgam based on religion, the same mindset is evident in the attack on the security guards by Juber Ansari. This reflects the belief that Islam is the religion of terrorism. If it were not, we would not see Islamic extremism or jihad.”
He further remarked, “This person attacks and shoots based on religion. The country has already been divided once on religious lines. After such repeated incidents, many Muslims claim, ‘This is my father’s country.’”
Mahant Raju Das emphasized, “This is a land of Sanatan culture. Once you took the country based on religion, but now that you live here, you must change your mindset. This country cannot be governed by a Taliban-like regime; it must be governed by the Constitution.”
Arya Saint Varun Das Ji Maharaj expressed that this poses a significant security threat to the nation. He noted that the Pahalgam incident raised concerns nationwide, prompting government operations to eliminate terrorists. However, the recurrence of such attacks in areas like Mira Road, where the Shiv Sena and BJP govern, is alarming.
He urged the government to deploy agencies for immediate raids to apprehend anarchic elements, suggesting that the accused may have links to terrorist organizations. He called for proactive identification to prevent future threats.
Mahant Vishnu Das Ji Maharaj condemned the Mumbai incident, stating it was executed similarly to the Pahalgam attack. He asserted that these extremist jihadists desire an Islamic nation in India and view Hindus with disdain, intending to harm them. He demanded that such individuals should face encounters in public or be sentenced to death.
Mahant Sitaram Das of Saket Bhawan Temple also condemned the attack, questioning why no encounter has occurred for the attacker, Juber, despite the BJP government in Mumbai. He urged the Chief Minister to set an example by ensuring Juber’s encounter. He warned that any targeting of Hindus based on religion would be met with severe consequences.
