
Mumbai, August 20: Indian actress Rasika Duggal has been honored with the Best Actress (Series) award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM 2026). The actress expressed her joy on social media after receiving the award on Thursday.
In a video posted on Instagram, Rasika is seen accepting her award in Melbourne. She thanked everyone for their support, stating, “I received the Best Actor (Series) award for ‘Delhi Crime Season 3’ in Melbourne. My heartfelt thanks to IFFM and the entire team of my beloved ‘Delhi Crime’ for this honor and memorable night. Your incredible talent made these moments on screen unforgettable.”
Rasika Duggal won the award for her remarkable portrayal of the character Niti Singh in the web series ‘Delhi Crime Season 3.’ In this season, she plays a police officer (ACP/IPS officer) facing a challenging and complex case, while also navigating her personal struggles and trauma.
The season primarily revolves around a significant and dangerous human trafficking racket involving women and children. The story begins with an investigation in Assam, which later uncovers a vast network connected to Delhi and other parts of the country. The series features a mysterious and fearsome mafia character known as ‘Badi Didi,’ played by Huma Qureshi, whose performance has received much acclaim. This crime-thriller series is an emotionally gripping and suspenseful portrayal of police investigations.
Directed by Tanuj Chopra, the series also stars Shefali Shah (DCP/DIG Vartika Chaturvedi), Huma Qureshi (the dangerous villain ‘Badi Didi’), Rajesh Tailang, and Sayani Gupta in pivotal roles.
