Born on August 21, 1978, into a Punjabi family in Delhi, Bhumi Chawla comes from humble beginnings. Her father, Colonel Ahankar Chawla, served as an officer in the Indian Army, and her mother’s name is Bali. She has one brother and one sister.
Chawla completed her early education in Delhi and graduated from Delhi University. During her college years, she received numerous compliments, which inspired her to explore the world of acting and modeling.
