Rajasthan Gramin Bank

If you are a customer of Rajasthan Gramin Bank, it is important to be aware of upcoming changes to your digital banking services. Following a major merger, the bank is undergoing a significant technical upgrade to modernize and improve its services. As a result, several banking facilities will be temporarily unavailable in the coming days. Here’s what you need to know about the service interruption, the merger, and how to prepare.

Rajasthan Gramin Bank

Major Bank Merger in Rajasthan

Rajasthan Marudhara Gramin Bank and Baroda Rajasthan Regional Rural Bank have now merged to form a new, stronger entity: Integrated Rajasthan Gramin Bank. This unified bank now stands as the only regional rural bank serving the entire state, with around 1600 branches and 26 regional offices.

Which Services Will Be Temporarily Unavailable?

Due to ongoing technical migration and software integration, the following services will be affected:

  • Cheque clearing and collection will be unavailable from 22 August to 26 August 2025.

  • Digital banking services including ATM, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, UPI, AEPS, and BC Channel will be suspended from 23 August to 26 August 2025.

  • During this period, branches will only be able to assist with general inquiries; financial transactions will not be possible.

Precautions for Customers

The bank advises all customers to complete important transactions—such as cash withdrawal, deposit, fund transfer, and UPI payments—before 22 August to avoid inconvenience.

If you have installments, auto-debits, or recurring payments scheduled during the affected period, make alternative arrangements with the relevant institution or biller in advance.

Services are expected to resume as normal from 27 August 2025.

Long-Term Benefits After the Upgrade

While this technical upgrade may cause temporary inconvenience, it will bring many long-term advantages:

  • Faster and more reliable transactions

  • Access to more services on a single platform

  • Enhanced security standards for safer digital transactions

  • Improved protection against fraud

  • Continued safety of your deposits, loans, and account information

The new core banking system aims to deliver a quicker, safer, and more convenient digital banking experience for all customers.
