
Jaipur, March 6: The Rajasthan Assembly will begin its proceedings on Friday with a Question Hour, where lawmakers will seek answers from the government on various crucial issues related to different departments. According to the assembly’s agenda, there are 22 starred questions and 24 unstarred questions listed. Through these inquiries, legislators will gather information regarding the functioning and schemes of various government departments.
During the Question Hour, Deputy Chief Minister Pram Chand Baidawat will also face questions related to his departments. Additionally, issues concerning the Agriculture Department, Education Department, Public Health Engineering Department, Water Resources Department, Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Cooperation Department, and Urban Development Department will be addressed. Both opposition and ruling party members will demand answers from the government regarding the plans, actions, and policies of these departments.
Attention motions will also be presented in the assembly. Legislator Shrichand Kripalani will bring forth a motion requesting a reconsideration of the decision to transfer the affiliation of colleges in the Mewar region from Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur, to Marwar Medical University, Jodhpur. He aims to draw the attention of the Medical and Health Minister and demand the cancellation of this decision.
Meanwhile, Congress legislator Govind Singh Dotasra will present a motion regarding alleged irregularities and corruption in the Animal Husbandry Department. He will seek clarification from the Minister of Animal Husbandry and Dairy and raise questions about the departmental operations.
In addition, several important documents will be tabled in the assembly. Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinsar will present a notification from the Health Department, while Deputy Chief Minister Disha Kumari will submit the annual report of the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation Limited.
Several petitions will also be introduced in the assembly. Legislator Amit Chachaan will file a petition demanding the establishment of a Veterinary College in Nohar and the upgradation of the Urban Primary Health Center in Nohar to an Urban Community Health Center. Legislator Hamir Singh Bhayal will present a petition regarding the construction of a road from the village Muhana in Bagru to the Sanskrit University in Madau.
Legislator Babusingh Rathore will file a petition demanding the opening of a new Central School in Shergarh, while legislator Chetan Patel will request the inclusion of the Sultanpur and Itawa municipal areas of Kolana Pipalda into the urban population zone.
Additionally, legislator Sanjay Kumar Baserdi will present a petition related to the approval of the construction of certain roads and bridges in the Dholpur area. Legislator Chhagan Singh Rajpurohit will file a petition requesting the establishment of a Mother Forest (Namo Van) by the Forest Department in Sunwara.
Legislative work will also take place, including a discussion on the “Prohibition of Transfer of Immovable Property in Disturbed Areas and Protection of Tenants from Eviction Bill, 2026.” Following the discussion, this bill is likely to be passed by the assembly.
