
Mumbai, June 19: Congress leader Hussain Dalwai extended birthday wishes to Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, praising his political future. He noted that Gandhi has carved out a distinct identity across the nation in recent years, with his acceptance among the public steadily increasing.
Dalwai emphasized the current atmosphere in the country and highlighted how Gandhi has effectively engaged with people. He specifically mentioned Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, stating that undertaking such a lengthy journey to connect with citizens and understand their issues is commendable.
He added that Gandhi is striving to unite all sections of society and aims to strengthen the India Block. Dalwai predicted that in the coming times, Gandhi’s role will expand significantly, positioning him as a strong and influential leader in the country. Today, Gandhi has established a unique identity nationwide.
Regarding the provision of Y-plus security to Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs, he remarked, “These MPs are fearful of the people, which is why they have been granted Y-plus security.”
On the controversy surrounding donations to the Ram Mandir fund, he stated that organizations have rules to follow, and accountability for the source of funds is essential.
In response to the central government’s high-level meetings concerning the NEET examination and directives for officials to enforce strict measures, Dalwai asserted that the examination process must be completely fair and transparent. He emphasized that accountability should be established wherever mistakes occur. He recalled that many leaders in the past have resigned taking moral responsibility, underscoring the importance of accountability in a democracy.
