Patna, June 19: Sanjay Jha, the Executive President of the Janata Dal United (JD(U)), recently discussed Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw’s visit to Bihar. He welcomed this initiative, emphasizing its significance for expanding the railway network in the state. During his visit, the minister will inaugurate new railway projects at the Chapra Junction.
In a press conference on Friday, Jha highlighted the rapid expansion of the railway network across the state. He stated that efforts are being made to enhance connectivity in remote areas. A comprehensive plan has been developed to ensure that railway projects move beyond mere paperwork to actual implementation.
According to Jha, the central government has taken several crucial steps to expand the railway network nationwide. Notably, the Amrit Bharat Express train project has been launched among various initiatives. He anticipates that many railway-related projects will commence in the next five years, as rail transport remains a vital mode of connectivity.
Jha also shed light on the opposition’s current predicament. He pointed out the recent Rajya Sabha elections in Jharkhand, questioning the whereabouts of the leaders of the India alliance. He remarked that the coalition lacks a leader capable of guiding it effectively, and the current state of its members reflects a focus on personal interests rather than national welfare.
As the Modi government marks 12 years in power, Jha noted that the condition of various states is evident. A healthy democracy requires a robust opposition; however, the leaders within the India alliance seem to prioritize their interests, leading to a loss of public trust.
He commented on the situation of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Uddhav Thackeray’s faction of Shiv Sena, stating that their struggles are well-known. Jha believes that the India alliance’s leaders are disconnected from national interests, and the situation may worsen in the coming days. He argued that the opposition currently lacks substantial issues to address, leaving them with no alternative but to criticize Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Additionally, Jha responded to his meeting with Roshan Anand regarding ongoing disputes among teachers. He emphasized the need for action to resolve these issues and commended the police for their efforts in addressing violence related to the situation.
Jha also targeted Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut, claiming that Raut is responsible for the party’s significant decline. He criticized Raut’s arrogance, suggesting it has led to the party’s downfall. Jha noted that the exodus of leaders from Shiv Sena (UBT) indicates internal problems within the party.
Regarding the TMC, Jha remarked that while victories and losses are part of politics, they should not lead to the dismantling of party structures. He expressed disappointment that some parties operate more like family-run businesses rather than political entities. He predicts a challenging future for family-oriented parties in the coming days.
