
Beijing, July 11: Chinese Premier Li Qiang presided over a regular meeting of the State Council, emphasizing the need to enhance flood prevention, control, and disaster relief efforts.
During the meeting, it was stressed that all sectors and departments must adhere to General Secretary Xi Jinping’s critical directives and the decisions made by the CPC Central Committee. There is a call for maintaining a high level of vigilance in flood control and disaster relief, working collaboratively to win this challenging battle against floods and disasters.
The meeting also reviewed a report on the construction of a Digital China. It highlighted the necessity to systematically advance the development of digital infrastructure, expedite the construction of next-generation communication and computing networks, improve the level of digital intelligence, and comprehensively empower economic and social development.
Additionally, progress on the construction of a modern circulation system was discussed. The meeting underscored the need to address deficiencies in circulation infrastructure, build a robust logistics network for essential goods, rapidly develop multi-level transportation, and further reduce circulation costs.
A public exercise plan for 2026-2030 was also considered and approved during this meeting.
