Rahul Gandhi Honors Ambedkars Legacy on His Birth Anniversary

New Delhi, April 14: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi paid tribute to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on his birth anniversary. He emphasized that the nation is built on Babasaheb’s ideals and vowed to fight for them with all his strength until his last breath.

In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Gandhi stated, “Babasaheb Ambedkar not only gave us the Constitution but also envisioned a strong India based on justice, equality, and respect. However, today, certain forces are systematically attempting to undermine Babasaheb’s legacy and our Constitution. Democratic institutions are being hollowed out, rights are being trampled, and the idea of equality is under attack.”

He continued, “This country is built on Babasaheb’s thoughts. I will fight with all my strength until my last breath to protect them. Together, we will realize the India of Babasaheb’s dreams.” He also extended his wishes for Ambedkar Jayanti to everyone.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also paid homage to Babasaheb Ambedkar on this occasion. In a post on ‘X’, he wrote, “On Babasaheb Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, we pay homage to the visionary leader who provided India with its moral and constitutional soul. Babasaheb was not only the architect of the Indian Constitution but also an unwavering warrior for freedom, equality, brotherhood, and justice. These values define the core idea of ‘India’.”

Kharge added, “Today, as the Constitution faces a conspiratorial attack, his words and warnings resonate with renewed and profound relevance. This is a moment that demands courage and steadfast belief. We must not only remember him but also rise to defend every principle he established. We must safeguard every right he ensured and uphold all the values for which he lived and fought.”

Meanwhile, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra remarked that the Constitution’s creator, Babasaheb Ambedkar, provided every Indian with a protective shield in the form of the Constitution, guaranteeing freedom, equality, justice, and brotherhood.

In her post, she wrote, “Through Babasaheb’s tireless efforts, the issues of marginalized communities became an integral part of our freedom movement and Constitution. Equal opportunities, equal rights, and the welfare of all are the essence of Babasaheb’s ideology. The commitment to uphold the values of the Constitution and Babasaheb’s thoughts is the true tribute to him. I respectfully bow to Babasaheb on his birth anniversary.”
