Mumbai, August 8: Under the Pune Shlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Farmer Loan Waiver Scheme 2026, a significant benefit has been extended to 38,970 eligible farmers in Pune district. On Friday, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis facilitated the online transfer of loan waiver amounts to the bank accounts of these farmers, who have completed their Aadhaar authentication, at the Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai.
The total outstanding amount for these farmers in Pune district was ₹345.25 crore. This amount has been directly transferred to the respective banks, allowing eligible farmers to benefit from the loan waiver. Banks have been instructed to provide immediate Kharif crop loans to these farmers, enabling them to secure necessary financial support for the upcoming Kharif season.
Farmers included in the initial list who have not yet completed their Aadhaar authentication are advised to contact the relevant authorities to finalize the process. Once authentication is complete, the loan waiver amounts will also be directly transferred to their loan accounts based on eligibility.
In attendance were Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar, Cooperation Minister Babasaheb Patil, Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharne, Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan, Environment Minister Pankaja Munde, Tourism Minister Shambhuraj Desai, Textile Minister Sanjay Sawkar, Minister of State Meghna Bordikar, Chief Secretary Rajesh Agrawal, Chief Minister’s Additional Chief Secretary Lokesh Chandra, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Dr. Shrikar Pardeshi, Principal Secretary of the Cooperation Department Praveen Darade, and Cooperation Commissioner Deepak Tawde.
Additionally, all district ministers, district collectors, and registrars of cooperative societies participated via video conferencing. Under this scheme, around 622,000 eligible farmers statewide have completed their Aadhaar authentication, with ₹5,028 crore transferred to their loan accounts. The loan waiver has cleared the way for Kharif crop loans.
