Professor Tariq Mansoor Appointed as BJP National Vice President

Mumbai, August 17: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Professor Tariq Mansoor, a member of the Aligarh Legislative Council and former Vice-Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, as its National Vice President. Following this new appointment, Professor Mansoor expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party leadership, and senior leaders, stating that he is committed to fulfilling every responsibility entrusted to him with utmost dedication.

In an interview after his appointment, Professor Mansoor thanked Prime Minister Modi, party president Nitin Nabin, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and other senior leaders for their trust in him. He emphasized that whenever the party has assigned him a responsibility, he has made every effort to fulfill it and will continue to do so.

When asked about his transition from being a member of the Legislative Council to a national-level role, he stated that he views every responsibility given by the party as an opportunity to serve. He mentioned that it is his duty to raise issues related to the party and organization robustly in the Legislative Council. Additionally, he is committed to completing tasks assigned by the organization. For him, the responsibility given by the party is more significant than the position itself, and adhering to the organization’s directives will remain his priority.

Professor Mansoor was also questioned about the BJP’s stance on issues concerning the Muslim community and minorities. He responded by prioritizing the views of Prime Minister Modi and the national leadership. He noted that the BJP is one of the largest political parties globally, and differing statements from various leaders are not uncommon in large organizations.

He reiterated that the party and government’s core philosophy is based on Prime Minister Modi’s principles of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas.” He emphasized that welfare schemes should benefit all sections of society without discrimination, and various government initiatives are reaching people from different castes, religions, and communities. According to him, this is the direction of inclusive development.

Professor Mansoor highlighted that the BJP and the central government’s significant goal is to transform India into a developed nation by 2047. He stated that this vision can only be realized if all sections of society are equally included in the development process. He linked the development of Uttar Pradesh to this goal, asserting that a developed Uttar Pradesh is essential for a developed India. He noted that Uttar Pradesh is a crucial state, and its development directly impacts the country’s overall progress. The benefits of the developed India vision must reach all societal segments, ensuring that government schemes reach the last person.

When asked about the responsibilities he will hold as National Vice President in light of the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Mansoor clarified that the duties of national office bearers extend beyond any single state. He explained that national office bearers work for the entire country, and leaders from various states, including Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, West Bengal, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh, have been assigned responsibilities in the new party team. With elections occurring regularly across different states, the role of national office bearers remains crucial. He expressed readiness to fulfill any responsibilities assigned by the party.

Professor Mansoor clarified that as National Vice President, his role will focus on strengthening the organization nationwide and working according to party directives. He assured that he would complete any responsibilities assigned by the party in the event of elections in Uttar Pradesh.

He also expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Modi for congratulating the newly appointed national office bearers. He stated that the Prime Minister’s trust in him is significant, and he thanks him for this opportunity. He is committed to fulfilling the trust placed in him by the party with complete dedication.
