Part of Under-Construction Building Collapses in Gandhinagar, Injuring Ten

Gandhinagar, September 9 (Daily Kiran) : A significant incident occurred in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, where a portion of a building under construction collapsed in the Kudasan area. Reports indicate that around ten individuals sustained injuries in the accident. Emergency services, including the fire brigade and police, quickly arrived on the scene to initiate rescue operations.

According to initial reports, a wall of the building fell while several workers were present on-site. Many of these workers were trapped under the debris. Local residents promptly alerted the authorities about the situation.

Upon receiving the distress call, teams from the Gandhinagar fire brigade and police rushed to the location. Efforts to rescue those trapped under the rubble are underway. The injured have been transported to Gandhinagar Civil Hospital for treatment, where they are currently receiving care.

As of now, approximately ten individuals are reported injured and have been admitted to the hospital. Fortunately, there have been no confirmed fatalities; however, concerns remain that some individuals may still be trapped beneath the debris, prompting a vigorous rescue effort.

In light of the incident’s severity, Gujarat’s Deputy Chief Minister, Harsh Sanghavi, visited the site. He assessed the situation and instructed officials to expedite rescue operations. Additionally, he emphasized the need for proper medical care for the injured at the hospital.

Preliminary investigations suggest possible negligence in the construction process, but the exact causes of the collapse will be determined following a thorough inquiry. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the matter.
