Kolkatas Arsalan Restaurant Undergoes Food Safety Inspection Amid Increased Regulatory Scrutiny

Kolkata, September 9 (Daily Kiran) : Kolkata is witnessing heightened scrutiny of food safety regulations as officials conduct inspections across hotels and restaurants. Notably, the renowned Arsalan Restaurant and Caterer has had three of its outlets inspected by food safety authorities. COO Hamza Ahsan expressed that the inspections are beneficial, helping restaurant operators better understand and implement food safety standards.

Ahsan reported that food safety officials provided guidance on protocols and standards during their visit. While the restaurant adheres to established protocols, he noted that the additional information and suggestions from the authorities were valuable. He emphasized that such inspections should occur regularly, as they offer food business operators an opportunity to improve their practices and deepen their understanding of regulations.

Highlighting the expertise of the food safety officials, Ahsan stated that their guidance is crucial for restaurants. He also commended the government’s initiative in this regard. Importantly, he clarified that none of Arsalan’s outlets have been named in any reports regarding license cancellations.

All outlets remain operational, with one currently undergoing maintenance while the others function normally. Ahsan confirmed that the company has not received any notices from food safety officials.

Regarding any concerns raised during the inspection, Ahsan mentioned that no issues were found. He addressed a specific incident where something deemed spoiled was actually a type of pickle. He assured that there was no stale chicken or meat found at any outlet and that cleanliness was maintained, with no issues related to dirt, mosquitoes, or flies reported during the inspection.

Ahsan concluded by stating that food safety inspections are not merely a regulatory process but also an opportunity to enhance food quality and hygiene standards. He hopes such actions will continue to ensure that customers receive safe and high-quality meals.
