
Damoh, April 7: The ambitious Prime Minister Vishwakarma Scheme is emerging as a strong foundation for youth employment in Damoh district, Madhya Pradesh. A vivid example of this initiative was seen outside the Tendukheda post office, where beneficiaries were spotted carrying toolkits on their motorcycles.
This scene not only showcases the success of the government scheme but also narrates a story of changing confidence and self-reliance among rural youth. By leveraging this scheme, young individuals are becoming self-sufficient while enhancing their employment opportunities.
Two young men from Sarra village in the Tendukheda block have chosen a challenging path to realize their dreams and are now progressing towards success.
Beneficiary Suresh Kurmi shared with a news agency that he received six days of training under the scheme, after which he was credited with 4,000 rupees and provided with a toolkit worth 15,000 rupees. He mentioned that around 25 youths have joined this initiative, with four already receiving toolkits, while the loan process for others is ongoing.
Another beneficiary, Paramanand Kurmi, noted that 10 to 15 people from his village have benefited from this scheme. Despite numerous challenges, he completed the training and is now moving towards self-sufficiency. The toolkit provided by the government includes essential tools that will help them turn their skills into employment and strengthen their family’s financial situation.
The Prime Minister Vishwakarma Scheme aims to empower traditional artisans and skilled youth. Today, young individuals possess toolkits worth 15,000 rupees, which not only symbolize hope for a better future but also represent a significant step towards economic self-reliance.
