Political Change Desired in West Bengal, Says CM Manik Saha

Nadia, April 26: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha expressed strong confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) prospects during the ongoing election campaign in West Bengal. He stated that the party will secure a majority and form the government in the state.

During a roadshow in Nadia district, Saha noted that the increasing support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP is evident on the ground. He described this support as a “necessity of the time,” emphasizing that the people of West Bengal are yearning for political change.

Saha remarked, “You can see how much support the people have for PM Modi and the BJP. It is crucial for West Bengal at this moment.” He highlighted that ensuring peace in the state is a priority, linking it to broader national security concerns.

He stressed the importance of preventing the entry of infiltrators, stating that such measures are essential for maintaining the country’s security. Saha also claimed that the BJP will win between 105 to 110 seats in the first phase of voting and will perform strongly in the second phase, leading to a majority government.

The Chief Minister indicated that the political mood in West Bengal suggests that voters are tired of previous administrations. He referred to the long tenure of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) and the Trinamool Congress over the past 15 years, stating that people now believe nothing can be achieved without the BJP.

Saha further mentioned that wherever he campaigned, the sentiment among voters remained consistent, with many expressing a desire for change and supporting the BJP. He noted that the atmosphere in the state is already signaling an impending political shift.

“Change is definitely coming. You could say it has already arrived. The environment everywhere is very positive,” he asserted. Saha highlighted that the massive public participation indicates what the results will be when votes are counted on May 4.

He concluded by stating that the large crowd gathered at his events gives a clear indication of the expected outcomes, with people wanting the BJP to lead.
