Police Crack Down on Drug Trafficking in Greater Noida, Two Arrested with Over ₹3.5 Lakh Worth of Smack

Greater Noida, September 15 (Daily Kiran) : In a significant operation against drug trafficking, the Gautam Buddha Nagar police arrested two individuals in Greater Noida on September 15. The arrests were made by the Dadri police as part of an ongoing campaign to combat illegal narcotics sales and trafficking.

According to police reports, a total of 35.50 grams of smack, valued at approximately ₹3.53 lakh, was seized along with ₹6,275 in cash from the two suspects.

The first arrest involved a 22-year-old man named Yashpal Rawal, also known as “Bade.” He was apprehended near the Biryani Pulia on the service road of Sector JU-2, in the Ajaypur police station area. During the search, police recovered 20.30 grams of smack from him, with an estimated worth of ₹2.03 lakh, in addition to ₹3,270 in cash. A case has been registered against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

In a subsequent operation, the police arrested Nazim Malik, the son of Aziz Malik, from a road behind a local company. He was found in possession of 15.20 grams of smack, valued at around ₹1.5 lakh, along with ₹3,005 in cash.

Overall, the two operations led to the recovery of 35.50 grams of smack and a total of ₹6,275 in cash. Legal proceedings are underway against both suspects as the police continue their crackdown on drug-related crimes in the area.
