PM Modi to Distribute Appointment Letters to 51,000 Youth at 19th Employment Fair

New Delhi, May 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute appointment letters to over 51,000 young individuals at the 19th Employment Fair on Saturday. The letters will be handed out via video conferencing, and PM Modi will also address the gathering.

This initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s commitment to prioritizing job creation. The Employment Fair aims to turn this vision into reality. Since its inception, 18 fairs have been held across the country, resulting in nearly 1.2 million appointment letters issued.

The 19th Employment Fair will take place in 47 locations nationwide. Selected candidates will join various ministries and departments of the Indian government, including the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, and the Department of Higher Education, among others.

During the 18th Employment Fair held in January, PM Modi emphasized the importance of connecting youth with skills and providing them with job and self-employment opportunities. He stated that the Employment Fair was initiated to bring government recruitment into “mission mode,” and it has now become an institution over the past few years. This initiative has enabled millions of young people to receive appointment letters in different government departments.

PM Modi noted that India is one of the youngest countries globally, and the government is continuously working to create new opportunities for youth both domestically and internationally. He also mentioned that the government is signing trade and mobility agreements with several countries, opening countless new avenues for young Indians.

Furthermore, PM Modi highlighted the unprecedented investment in modern infrastructure in recent times, which has boosted employment in construction-related sectors. He remarked that India’s startup ecosystem is rapidly growing, with nearly 200,000 registered startups providing jobs to over 2.1 million young people.

He added that “Digital India” has expanded a new economy, positioning India as a global hub in sectors like animation, digital media, and more.
