PM Modi Emphasizes Harmony with Nature for the Welfare of All Beings

New Delhi, June 8: Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a profound message on Monday regarding the importance of maintaining balance with nature. In a post on ‘X’, he stated, “The core essence of our culture has always been to ensure the welfare of all beings by harmonizing with nature. With this broad vision, India is continuously progressing on the path of development and prosperity.”

He also shared a Sanskrit verse: “यावच्चतस्रः प्रदिशश्चक्षुर्यावत् समश्नुते. तावत् समैत्विन्द्रियं मयि तद्धस्तिवर्चसम्॥”

The Hindi translation of this verse conveys the desire for prosperity that is aware of the expansion in all four directions and the power of sight, ensuring environmental conservation while living in complete harmony with nature for the continuous welfare of all life.

It is noteworthy that on June 5, the Prime Minister had also shared a quote emphasizing the importance of nature conservation. He remarked that protecting nature is not just a duty but an integral part of our culture and values.

He shared another Sanskrit verse: “मधु वाता ऋतायते मधु क्षरन्ति सिन्धवः. माध्वीर्नः सन्त्वोषधीः॥”

This verse translates to the wish for winds to flow pleasantly and beneficially, rivers to provide nourishing water, and plants and herbs to be a source of health and happiness for all living beings.

On June 4, PM Modi had also highlighted the significance of yoga, stating that regular practice keeps the body healthy and the mind calm. Incorporating yoga into daily life leads to a balanced and energetic existence.

He shared the Sanskrit verse: “योगेन चित्तस्य पदेन वाचां, मलं शरीरस्य च वैद्यकेन. योऽपाकरोत् तं प्रवरं मुनीनां, पतञ्जलिं प्राञ्जलिरानतोऽस्मि॥” The Hindi meaning of this verse expresses reverence to the great sage Patanjali, who purifies the mind through yoga, speech through grammar, and the body through Ayurveda.
