Ongoing Investigation into Sexual Assault Case of Toddler in Kota, Rajasthan

Kota, September 9 (Daily Kiran) : Authorities in Kota, Rajasthan, are intensifying their investigation into the alleged sexual assault of a three-year-old girl. The police are currently analyzing DNA samples, forensic evidence, and reviewing CCTV footage to identify the suspect involved in this sensitive case.

Due to the child’s young age, gathering detailed information about the incident has proven challenging. As a result, investigators are relying heavily on scientific and forensic evidence to piece together the events.

The case was initiated following a complaint from the child’s family, leading to the registration of a report under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and other relevant sections of the law. The police have confirmed that the investigation is being overseen by Additional Superintendent of Police Mukesh Sankhla, who heads the Women’s Harassment Investigation Cell.

The troubling incident came to light when the child exhibited signs of illness, prompting her family to consult a pediatrician. During the examination, the doctor noticed pain and swelling around the child’s waist and genital area, raising suspicions of sexual abuse. Following this, the doctor informed the family, who subsequently reported the matter to the police.

Given the child’s inability to articulate the events due to her age, investigators are focusing on medical examination reports, DNA samples, and CCTV footage to identify potential suspects. The family stated that the child typically remains at home and only attends a nearby play school.

In the course of the investigation, police have collected DNA samples from male staff members at the school and other individuals connected to the case. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team has also examined the relevant locations and gathered evidence.

Police are meticulously scrutinizing forensic evidence and DNA samples to determine if they match any identified suspects. Additionally, they are reviewing local CCTV footage to track the child’s activities and identify anyone she may have come into contact with.

As the investigation continues, authorities have yet to confirm the identity of the alleged perpetrator. Further insights are expected as forensic analysis and other evidence come to light.
