Noida, September 9 (Daily Kiran) : Police in Noida have dismantled a motorcycle theft ring, arresting two suspects in connection with the operation. The arrests occurred on September 9, when officers from the Phase-2 police station apprehended the men near the Transport Nagar intersection in Sector 88.
The suspects have been identified as 29-year-old Krishna, also known as Lefty, and 28-year-old Mohit. Both men have criminal backgrounds, with Krishna facing multiple charges, including robbery and attempted murder, across several police stations in Delhi and Noida. Mohit also has a record of offenses related to the Arms Act and vehicle theft.
During the operation, police seized 11 stolen motorcycles, a .315 bore illegal firearm, a live cartridge, and a knife from the suspects. Authorities reported that the gang targeted motorcycles parked near residential areas, industrial zones, weekly markets, and outside shops. The stolen bikes were either sold for profit or used in other criminal activities.
Following the arrests, police are investigating the gang’s broader operations in the Delhi-NCR region. They are working to determine how many vehicles have been stolen and to whom the stolen motorcycles were sold. The investigation includes verifying the ownership of the recovered motorcycles through their registration numbers and identifying other members of the gang involved in the thefts and sales.
The police’s efforts aim to dismantle the entire network of vehicle thefts and ensure that all stolen property is returned to its rightful owners.
