New Delhi, September 9 (Daily Kiran) : Political discussions intensified in New Delhi following a recent event in Jammu and Kashmir where Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah stood for the singing of ‘Vande Mataram.’ Shri Raj Nair, spokesperson for the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), welcomed their actions while launching a critique against the Congress party.
In an interview, Nair emphasized that the full six verses of ‘Vande Mataram’ should be sung across the nation. He noted that during the freedom struggle, people unitedly sang this anthem and drew inspiration from it.
Nair accused Congress of attempting to marginalize Hindus and catering to a specific religion in its post-independence politics. Despite suffering consecutive electoral defeats, he claimed the party has not altered its approach and continues to engage in appeasement politics. He warned that Congress’s situation will worsen in the future, asserting that family-run parties will face consequences for their decisions.
On another note, BJP leader Nand Kishore Gurjar responded to Congress leader Rashid Alvi’s remarks regarding the film ‘Hanuman Ansh.’ Gurjar stated that those objecting to the film should feel ashamed. He pointed out that when a film features positive Muslim characters, it receives praise, but films related to Hinduism seem to provoke discontent.
Gurjar highlighted the film’s success, noting it has grossed millions despite its modest budget. He suggested that Alvi’s discomfort stems from the film’s connection to Hindu themes. He praised the film for showcasing India’s ancient history and described it as touching and impactful.
He attributed the film’s success to the blessings of Baba Neem Karoli, claiming it has created a significant buzz. Gurjar expressed optimism for India’s development by 2047 and mentioned that the Chief Minister would consider making the film tax-free.
