Nitish Kumar Continues to Lead JD(U) for Partys Interests: Vijay Kumar Chaudhary

Patna, June 23: Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, addressed the media regarding the recent meeting of the JD(U) national and state council. He announced that Umesh Kushwaha has been elected as the state president, and the party’s national president, Nitish Kumar, received approval from the state council members. The most encouraging news for the party is that our universally accepted leader, Nitish Kumar, addressed the national council.

Chaudhary reassured party workers that although Kumar has stepped down from the Chief Minister position, he will continue to lead the party. This message from Kumar has energized JD(U) workers, motivating them to work with renewed vigor.

He noted that over one crore people have joined the party this time, indicating its growing popularity. He congratulated the party workers on behalf of the party and the government, expressing hope that they will work with even greater enthusiasm in the future. Kumar’s achievements are a source of strength for the party, and workers are dedicated to spreading these successes to the public. In the coming days, efforts will be made to strengthen the party, and the current situation is a cause for celebration.

Additionally, Chaudhary addressed the recent encounter in Ara, stating that controversial remarks have been made regarding the incident. He emphasized that the government is taking this matter very seriously. If there are any doubts in people’s minds, it is the government’s responsibility to address them. The government has ordered a thorough investigation into the encounter, including a judicial inquiry. This decision reflects the government’s commitment to transparency.

Moreover, a DIG-ranked officer has been assigned to oversee the investigation. The truth will emerge, and strict action will be taken against any accused individuals. The government has not solely relied on police investigations; judicial inquiries have also been mandated. If any police officer is found at fault, action will be taken against them, regardless of their position.

Chaudhary mentioned that the police have acknowledged their shortcomings in this case. The necessary actions were not taken, leading to the suspension of three officers, with investigations ongoing. A judicial inquiry is underway regarding the encounter incident, and the government assures the public that strict action will be taken against anyone found guilty.

He also commented on the recent fire incident in Lucknow, describing it as an accident. Hospitals must remain vigilant. Learning from the Lucknow incident, Bihar’s hospitals should prepare adequately. An audit based on fire safety standards should be conducted. The health department is actively involved in ensuring sufficient safety measures in hospitals, as patients cannot escape like ordinary citizens in case of a fire. It is crucial that no negligence occurs in hospital safety protocols.

Furthermore, he responded to Nishant Kumar’s statement, agreeing that journalists should not be prevented from going anywhere. However, he noted that journalism has its principles. If journalists adhere to these principles, they should not face any restrictions.
