Neeraj Kumar Sinha Declared BJP Candidate for Bankipur By-Election

Patna, July 11: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially announced Neeraj Kumar Sinha as its candidate for the upcoming by-election in the Bankipur assembly seat of Bihar. His elder brother, Amarendra Kumar, expressed his happiness regarding this development.

In a conversation, he stated, “I am very pleased and grateful to BJP National President Nitin Nawin. Neeraj has been working with him for nearly 25 years. He has helped my younger brother reach this position and has recognized his hard work.”

Neeraj Kumar Sinha’s sister-in-law also shared her joy, saying, “We are both happy and surprised to hear this news. It feels great. He has struggled a lot, and now he is reaping the rewards of his efforts. He has been working closely with Nitin Nawin for a long time.”

Initially, Abhishek Kumar Sinha, also known as Bunty, was chosen as the candidate for this by-election. However, he withdrew his nomination citing family reasons. Following this, a press release from Arun Singh, the BJP’s National General Secretary and Headquarters In-Charge, announced Neeraj Kumar Sinha as the candidate.

This time, the BJP has opted for a grassroots worker rather than a prominent figure. Neeraj Kumar Sinha has been associated with the party organization for a long time and has held several significant responsibilities. He has served as the division president twice and is currently the president of the Narendra Bharti division. Party leaders believe that his extensive experience, grassroots connections, and strong relationships with party workers made him the ideal candidate.

According to party sources, Neeraj Kumar Sinha’s family has been linked with the Bharatiya Janata Sangh and BJP for many years. His grandfather was an active worker in the Sangh and played a crucial role in strengthening the organization in the region. The Narendra Bharti division is named in his honor, and Neeraj Kumar Sinha currently oversees its responsibilities.

The Bankipur assembly seat became vacant after former BJP MLA Nitin Nawin was elected to the Rajya Sabha. The upcoming by-election is considered one of the most talked-about political battles in Bihar.
