NDA Government Poised to Return in Puducherry, Says Nitin Naveen

New Delhi, April 5: Nitin Naveen, the National President of the BJP, addressed a public gathering in Puducherry on Sunday ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. He expressed confidence that the love and support from the public indicate that the NDA government is set to return to power in Puducherry.

In a conversation with the media, Naveen stated that the visible support from the people on the streets and at public meetings clearly signals the NDA’s impending victory. “We are poised to form the NDA government again, with an even greater majority than before. The public trusts our government. They have witnessed development over the past five years, and our administration has significantly promoted tourism,” he remarked.

Naveen highlighted that during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Puducherry on March 1, he announced new initiatives, including the launch of projects worth approximately ₹2,700 crores. He emphasized that the NDA government is committed to implementing these plans effectively.

He pointed out that during the UPA government’s tenure, counterfeit medicines were rampant. In contrast, the NDA government has opened over 33 medicine centers, providing essential medications and healthcare services to the community. Furthermore, the NDA has assisted the underprivileged by providing more than 12,000 permanent homes in the region.

Naveen asserted that the Prime Minister and the entire NDA government are dedicated to promoting local businesses, educating the youth, and creating job opportunities while respectfully preserving the region’s spiritual heritage. “Our goal is to develop the tourism sector as a key area of opportunity,” he added.

Responding to a statement from Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Naveen criticized the Congress party for disrespecting the public. He stated, “Today, they are insulting the states. Every state has contributed to the country’s development. Gujarat has produced a leader who is steering India towards becoming a ‘developed nation.’ I urge Kharge to continue making such statements; the public will respond accordingly.”
