Mumbai Police Registers Case Over Fraud Using Names of Athiya Shetty, KL Rahul, Arshad Warsi

Mumbai Police has registered a case against three individuals involved in a fraud where they used the names of prominent Bollywood celebrities and a well-known cricketer to deceive a reputed company.

According to the police, employees working within the company exploited the names of Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty, cricketer KL Rahul, and actor Arshad Warsi to carry out the scam. The accused allegedly cheated the company of ₹1.41 crore by presenting fake invoices, forged signatures, and using counterfeit email IDs.

The Amboli police have identified the three accused as Rishabh Sureka, Yash Nagarkoti, and Aashay Shastri. Rishabh Sureka, a senior manager responsible for branding and celebrity projects, had been working with the company for a long time and enjoyed significant trust from the management. Taking advantage of this trust, he orchestrated the fraudulent scheme.

Rishabh allegedly created fake projects and sent emails using the names of KL Rahul and Arshad Warsi to mislead the company and extract large sums of money. He also forged the signature of Athiya Shetty to carry out similar fraudulent activities. The scam was uncovered with the help of a production house, exposing the entire racket.

Yash Nagarkoti and Aashay Shastri were reportedly involved in assisting Rishabh in siphoning off the company’s funds, sharing an equal stake in the fraud. Although a complaint has been filed, no arrests have been made so far, and the investigation is ongoing.
