Jaipur, April 4: A severe road accident occurred on the Jaipur-Dausa Expressway early Saturday morning, resulting in the death of Sub-Inspector Hanuman Meena (55) and injuries to three other police personnel. All injured individuals have been admitted to the district hospital in Dausa, where their condition is currently reported as stable.
The incident took place around 5 AM near Nangal Bela village in the rural area of Jaipur. According to police reports, a speeding car collided with a trailer ahead, leading to this tragic accident.
Upon receiving the information, a police team promptly arrived at the scene and rushed the injured to the hospital. Meanwhile, the body of the deceased Sub-Inspector Hanuman Meena has been sent for post-mortem.
Police officials stated that all individuals in the car were officers from the Sapotra police station. They were returning to their area in Karauli after a work-related trip to Meerut, passing through Delhi. During their journey, they stopped for a meal around 2 AM near Delhi before continuing their travel.
Injured officer Ramnesh Meena reported that everyone fell asleep shortly after getting back into the car. He mentioned that Sub-Inspector Hanuman Meena was seated next to the driver, while Ramnesh Meena, Kajod Jat, and Ramraj Bairwa were seated in the back. Kajod Jat and Ramraj Bairwa are also constables at the same police station.
Initial investigations suggest that the car was traveling at high speed and the driver may have dozed off, causing the vehicle to lose control and crash into the trailer. Police are also exploring whether the trailer suddenly braked, leaving the driver with no time to react.
Notably, the driver of the car escaped unharmed. The police are currently conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact causes of the accident.
