Mayawati Addresses Media on Akash Anands Party Reinstatement

Lucknow, October 6 (Daily Kiran) : Mayawati, the leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), has responded to media reports regarding Akash Anand’s recent reinstatement and appointment as the national coordinator of the party. She stated that the narrative surrounding Anand being expelled from the party four times has been exaggerated and misrepresented.

In a series of posts on the social media platform X, Mayawati clarified that Anand was never expelled from the party prior to his marriage and had been actively involved during that time. She urged the media to present the complete context of Anand’s political journey and the circumstances surrounding it.

Mayawati emphasized that Anand was significantly engaged in party activities before his marriage. She claimed that his relationship with Ashok Siddharth led to attempts to tarnish Anand’s political image. The BSP leader noted that Anand was brought back into the fold and reinstated as national coordinator to enhance his contributions to the party’s efforts.

She expressed confidence that following Siddharth’s resignation, there should be no further issues that would necessitate Anand’s expulsion from the party. Mayawati reiterated that Anand had not given any cause for complaint before his marriage, which is why he was never removed from the party. She concluded by urging the media to accurately report the facts instead of sensationalizing Anand’s expulsions.
