Kolkata, October 3 (Daily Kiran) : West Bengal Minister Dilip Ghosh has sharply criticized former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her recent political maneuvers. He suggested that Banerjee would even negotiate with the grim reaper to save her party’s existence.
Speaking to reporters in New Town on Saturday, Ghosh remarked, “Mamata Banerjee has allied with Congress and revived the CPM. What is the CJP? To protect her own position, she would make deals with anyone, even the grim reaper.”
Ghosh also responded to opposition protests against the Election Commission. He stated, “Gyanesh Kumar holds a constitutional position. No one has the courage to remove him. The opposition should engage with the public and prepare for elections, or they will face the same results as before. Elections will occur, results will be announced, and they will lose while continuing to make noise.”
He targeted the opposition’s ‘India’ alliance and their ‘Save Democracy Rally.’ Ghosh noted, “Elections are upcoming in several states, and suddenly the ‘India’ alliance appears. With municipal elections in Bengal, they need issues to discuss. However, neither in the country nor in Bengal do they have any real issues left. They are merely making absurd statements to attract media attention.”
On a different note, Ghosh praised the Indian women’s hockey team, stating, “Our girls and women are progressing rapidly. They are actively participating in the armed forces and paramilitary. They’ve excelled in cricket, winning the Under-19 World Cup and the Women’s World Cup, and have achieved remarkable results in wrestling, archery, and hockey at the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games. This is an inspiring moment for our country’s girls as they continue to excel.”
Additionally, he commended Indian pilot Smita Machhar, saying, “The world has seen our pilot can fight even in the skies. They fly fighter jets and risk their lives to save passengers. Smita Machhar has set an example for the world, earning praise globally. Truly, she has elevated our nation’s honor.”
