Haryana CM and BJP Legislators to Meet PM Modi in New Delhi
Haryanas Chief Minister and BJP leaders will discuss political strategies with PM Modi in New Delhi, focusing on upcoming elections.

New Delhi, October 3 (Daily Kiran) : Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, along with state BJP president Archana Gupta and all BJP legislators, is set to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday. The meeting is anticipated to take place in the evening and will likely focus on significant political and organizational issues concerning Haryana and neighboring states.
Sources indicate that discussions may revolve around preparations for the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections, current political conditions, and the opposition’s narrative regarding the Special Intensive Review (SIR) of voter lists.
This meeting holds particular importance as the BJP is reviewing its organizational strategies and electoral tactics in election-bound states. Party leadership may also deliberate on how state units can respond to the opposition’s allegations and campaigns regarding the SIR.
Engaging with the Prime Minister provides an opportunity for party leaders to gather feedback from Haryana’s legislators on political and organizational matters, as well as to discuss the BJP’s readiness for upcoming electoral challenges.
The meeting comes at a time when the opposition ‘India’ bloc has launched a campaign against the Election Commission of India (ECI) and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar concerning the SIR issue. Recently, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders and activists were detained during a protest at Jantar Mantar in the national capital, demanding the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner, asserting that they are “not afraid of the police.”
Allegations of “vote theft” against Gyanesh Kumar have gained traction following a media report claiming internal disagreements within the Election Commission.
In related news, former Union Minister Smriti Irani has taken over as the BJP’s Haryana in-charge, succeeding Satish Poonia, amid recent organizational changes within the party.
This development comes as the BJP ramps up its political activities in Punjab, where the issue of drug abuse has emerged as one of its primary electoral concerns. The party is targeting the ruling AAP government on issues related to drugs, law and order, and security conditions in the state.
