Major Crackdown on Lashkar-e-Taiba Module in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, April 7: The Jammu and Kashmir police have successfully dismantled an inter-state terrorist module linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Five terrorists, including two Pakistani nationals, have been arrested.

Authorities reported that police teams conducted simultaneous raids at 19 locations across several states, including Haryana and Rajasthan. During this operation, they apprehended Abdullah, also known as Abu Huraira, who had been on the run for the past 16 years.

Officials stated, “During the raids, objectionable material related to terrorist activities was also seized.”

They further noted that the disruption of this module has unveiled a deep network of Lashkar-e-Taiba in India, which was providing logistical, financial, and other forms of support to terrorists.

This organization includes Pakistani handlers operating from across the border, hired fighters from Pakistan, and local recruits who have been brainwashed using religion, drugs, and money.

Lashkar-e-Taiba was behind a terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22 last year, which resulted in the deaths of 26 innocent people, including 25 tourists and one local resident.

In response to this attack, India launched ‘Operation Sindoor,’ targeting terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

On October 20, 2024, LeT terrorists also attacked laborers working on the Z-Morh tunnel in the Ganderbal district, killing six foreign workers and one local doctor.

Joint forces, including the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir police, successfully eliminated the terrorists responsible for the Halgham and Gagangeer attacks during ‘Operation Mahadev’ in July 2025.
