
Indore, May 30: In a significant operation, the Crime Branch in Madhya Pradesh has arrested a notorious associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The accused, identified as Rahul Singh Rathore, also known as Baba, was wanted with a bounty of ₹25,000 on his head and had been evading capture for an extended period.
According to reports, Rathore hails from Dewas and is believed to have a criminal network that spans multiple cities. Police officials stated that he was involved in reconnaissance for the gang and played a role in planning criminal activities. His involvement in a shooting incident in Khargone district has also come to light. Authorities confirmed that he was wanted in several criminal cases and was actively being pursued.
Indore’s Additional Police Commissioner R.K. Singh provided details about the operation, revealing that it was executed based on technical and intelligence inputs. He noted that crucial information about Rathore emerged during interrogations with previously arrested suspects.
The police had identified Rathore’s name through questioning individuals, including Rajpal and other accused. Following this, they began to probe the network, gradually uncovering his whereabouts. After extensive surveillance and search operations, he was finally apprehended.
Officials indicated that initial investigations suggest Rathore was instrumental in providing essential resources for the gang and assisting in crime planning. The police are currently interrogating him and anticipate that further significant revelations may emerge in the coming days.
