Maharashtras Shiv Sena Women’s Wing Launches Statewide Campaign to Strengthen Organization

Mumbai, June 14: The Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) has initiated a statewide outreach campaign called the “Shiv Durga-Shiv Samvad Yatra” in Maharashtra. MLC Manisha Koyande described this as a highly ambitious tour. The campaign, conceptualized by Eknath Shinde and Shrikant Shinde, aims to connect with grassroots workers across the state. The primary goals are to listen to the concerns of workers, strengthen the party, and expand the organization.

Koyande stated, “Daily, people from various parties are joining us. Many are entering Shiv Sena, inspired by Eknath Shinde’s leadership and the vision of young leader Shrikant Shinde. The participation of women in the party is also increasing significantly. Therefore, preparing them for leadership roles by assigning appropriate responsibilities and solidifying the organization at the grassroots level is our objective.”

Regarding the recent directive to take action against gutkha smugglers under MCOCA, she noted that these issues already fall under various laws and regulations. FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe is merely enforcing these laws against those engaging in illegal activities and supplying adulterated or harmful substances.

Koyande emphasized that adulteration in milk is also a crime. The Maharashtra government announced in the last session that MCOCA would be applied to those involved in milk adulteration. Similar incidents of adulteration in pan masala, paneer, and other food items have also been reported. Today, people struggle to determine whether the paneer they consume is genuine or fake. If such illicit activities are occurring and jeopardizing public health, those responsible should certainly face imprisonment.

Responding to Sanjay Raut’s derogatory remarks about PM Modi, Koyande expressed strong disapproval. She questioned the credibility of Raut’s statements, noting that he previously praised Modi but is now criticizing him. Such contradictory statements raise concerns about his mental state.

On the controversy surrounding stand-up comedian Pranit More’s show, she remarked that some comedians, including Kunal Kamra, consistently cross boundaries. They mock individuals, making inappropriate comments even about families and the deceased. This behavior is extremely objectionable, and she plans to raise this issue in the upcoming legislative council session.

Commenting on the recent turmoil within the TMC, she stated that the party’s position has weakened following recent events in West Bengal. She accused them of practicing appeasement politics in previous years, leading to growing discontent within the party.

Koyande asserted that parties like Congress, TMC, and the Uddhav faction are akin to a “sinking ship.” If they remain united, they will undoubtedly face demise.
