
Jabalpur, June 13: In a significant crackdown, police in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, have taken action against eight individuals, including five minors, in connection with two separate bombing incidents.
Authorities recovered materials used in the incidents from the suspects. Cases have been registered against them under various sections of the law, and further investigations are underway.
According to police reports, the first incident occurred at a liquor store in the Ranjhi area. A dispute arose between two minors over the sale of beer at inflated prices. In a bid to instill fear, the accused threw a bomb at the liquor store. Following the incident, police detained several individuals, including the two minors, for questioning, leading to the revelation of the events.
The second incident took place in Anjani Vihar Colony. After a dispute with a hotel employee, some miscreants planned to attack his home. However, due to a misunderstanding, they mistakenly bombed the residence of lawyer Santosh Bharti instead. This act created a climate of fear in the colony. Given the seriousness of the situation, police initiated an investigation and took action against a total of six suspects, including three minors.
Police apprehended two brothers, Samar Sonkar and Prashant Sonkar, along with another individual named Harshraj. During the operation, the suspects were brought to the crime scene, where they were made to acknowledge their mistakes and apologize to local residents.
The Ranjhi police have stated that they will continue to take strict action against those who disrupt law and order and instill fear in the community. They emphasized that criminals will not be spared under any circumstances.
