Madhya Pradeshs Law and Order in Crisis, Crime Rates Surge: Jitu Patwari

Satna, May 11: Jitu Patwari, the president of the Congress party’s Madhya Pradesh unit, has launched a strong attack on the state government regarding law and order. He claims that the law enforcement situation in the state has completely deteriorated, which has led to a rapid increase in crime rates.

During a conversation with reporters in Satna, Patwari accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of granting its legislators, ministers, their relatives, and party workers free rein to create chaos, as the government is theirs. He highlighted that there have been numerous incidents where ministers, legislators, and their supporters have been found involved in criminal activities.

Patwari referred to an incident in Shivpuri where BJP legislator Pritam Lodhi threatened officials and used abusive language. He stated that the behavior and language of BJP leaders, along with their tendency to intimidate the administrative system, clearly reflect the state of affairs in Madhya Pradesh. He questioned how law and order can be maintained when representatives of the ruling party themselves instill fear in the administration.

He asserted that Madhya Pradesh has become synonymous with lawlessness. The conditions that were once associated with Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are now evident in Madhya Pradesh. Criminals are emboldened, while the government remains a mere spectator.

Patwari further stated that corruption has become the hallmark of the BJP government. He claimed that if corruption were to be symbolized, one would see the BJP on one side and corruption on the other. There seems to be no government office left in the state where the public can get their work done without encountering corruption. He emphasized that corruption has infiltrated the BJP’s very essence, directly impacting the citizens.

He concluded by stating that the Congress party respects the sanctity of democracy. While they acknowledge that “the winner takes all,” it is their duty, even as the opposition, to voice the concerns of the public and highlight the government’s failures.
