Madhya Pradesh Congress Leader Criticizes Government Youth Conclave, Calls for Education Reform

Bhopal, October 6 (Daily Kiran) : The Madhya Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has organized a youth conclave in Bhopal aimed at engaging students. However, Jitu Patwari, the state Congress president, has raised concerns, suggesting that the government should prioritize improving education instead of hosting such events.

The conclave is set to take place at the Lal Parade Ground, with thousands of students expected to attend. Patwari criticized the government’s approach, stating that merely inviting youth will not guarantee their support. He pointed out that arrangements have been made to bring around 13,000 students from private universities in Bhopal and nearby districts to the event, with buses and faculty members overseeing the logistics.

Patwari questioned whether the youth of Madhya Pradesh need a conclave or a solid career path. He emphasized that young people are looking for genuine opportunities rather than government propaganda. He urged the state’s BJP government to focus on enhancing the quality of education, providing employment, conducting recruitment exams on time, and filling vacant positions.

He also shared a letter from the commissioner of the higher education department, which outlined plans to transport 13,000 students to Bhopal by bus. Each bus will accommodate 50 students, supervised by both a male and female faculty member.

In the current political climate, parties are vying for the attention of young voters. While Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is actively engaging with youth across various platforms, the BJP is also making efforts to connect with this demographic, as evidenced by the organization of the youth conclave in Bhopal.

Patwari concluded that the youth are not merely there to applaud but are focused on building a better future through education.
